This is the latest version of the tried and true Beeman Chief. This is the Beeman Chief 2 Plus. Plus stands for side lever! Great little PCP for under $200! The Beeman Raider, which is the same gun in bolt action, is just $149! Also in Synthetic at PY Air. Thanks for watching! -Nate

The Beeman Raider can be bought for $130 or less on other sites.
I have the 177 and soon the .22

It is very light, under 6lbs and has a nice stock.
It is easy to shoot offhand and also comes with open sights.

After a BStaley/o'ring buffer mod I get 4 magazines in the 850-880 FPS range with 9 grain pellets.
The o'ring buffer mod is a game changer if you want a long flat shot string.

Great info. Thank you! I will look for that upgrade.

The Raider and Chief 2 Plus are not the same gun. The Raider has a plastic breech while the Chief 2 Plus is metal. Overall the Raider has more plastic parts and the Chief is a little more powerful. Also Hatsan is offering their Flash PCP in a refurb for about $125. It's more powerful (40 fpe) only 6 pounds and very accurate as well. It also has a larger air chamber and a little higher quality over all. I've had mine for 6 years without a problem.

Overall I'm pleased with my Beeman 2028 pistol. The Buck rail moderator really quiets it down. The trigger is very good, the action is smoothing up with use, could still use a fine polish should I tear it down. Great pistol. esp. for the money. The 3/8's rail is annoying, but hey it has a rail. Mine wears a cheap pistol scope now.
