HW/Weihrauch The new HW95n seems dry?

Unlike my others this rifle has yet to deisel?

I got about 150 rounds through it when all of a sudden the barrel closed rough. I lubed the pivot points and pin, then back to smooth as glass. Three more shots, then I felt a difference in the cock stroke, so I let the pressure back off and put it away for the day.

I guess I'm disassembling it for a proper lube job.

Will I void warranty?
What are the premium lubes for this job?
Should I just do a kit now?

If it's brand new send it back! If you open it, I do believe it will void the warranty, best to ask the seller or maker (if new).

i would oil the pivot and then just move it as you would to cock just do not cock it , let the oil work in ? move on to the next point of movement . IF no results follow #2 advice .

Or maybe you tightened the screws a bit to tight and the gun parts are rubbing on the stock ?

Just pull the pivot bolt and inspect and clean then lube it proper.. I got one dry and rust in it.

I know ya'll don't agree with this..lol. I would strip the whole thing deburr, polish, inspect every part and then decide on what to do. going back together I would lube with Krytox. I have heard of metal swarf behind the chisel detent before.
Of course if you don't tinker, then send it back, but I like to do my own work.

Lol.. ya. Got to fix it new out of the box .. lol some just go ahead and put a new spring/ seal in / tune ..lol.

Yep, and make tighter fitting spring guides if just adding a spring by itself.

I'd send it back for repair before digging into it. You paid for a high quality air rifle and a lifetime warranty.

The kits are a big improvement and solve lots of problems. I'd put a kit in a new gun with no defects. But I'd send a new gun with defects back for warranty repair.

IMHO it's always best to get what you paid for before making any improvements or modifications.

With hornet springs the stock guides been fine ..

Read around it's commone to go on one out of the box to fix factory slop job or tune one fresh new .. me checking proper assembly from hw is a must especially there lubing ..lol

When I get what I paid for I'm happy. At that point I'll put a kit in. I don't pay for problems and then fix them myself. Just my opinion.

I think that's why HW can get by with that crap. Most guys just live with the faults and fix them tmselves. That allows them to cut lots of corners.

I covered all those bases.
The last offending symptom for me, was not liking what I felt from the spring compressing.

Well if you send it back, I wouldn't send the stock.

I do tinker. That is the reason for this question.
I generaly get in no loss situations though. When theres nothing left to loose my confidence is peaked.

The 97 had to go back for warranty as well. I had AoA put a Vortek kit in while they had it apart. The 97 had a broken cocking shoe or something, this one is only dry from what It feels like.

I don't have any confidence in the people doing warranty work..lol, I'm very picky with my stuff so I refuse to let somebody else work on it.

My prosport was dry as well, and that snowballed into complete overhaul. The 97 has no cocking shoe, so it must've been something else wrong.

Its kind of sad to talk trash on the product when this one seems to have missed propper lubrication. It's a beautiful rifle.

I still have my Beeman lubes from the early nineties. I have molybdenum grease with a long extension for the spring and Chamber oil, pivot oil, that I bought for my long lost R1. I almost forgot about them I haven't them since back then.

Also this rifle isn't completely dry or this problem would have manifested before 150 rounds, and AoA would have probably caught it in their pre delivery test
