HW/Weihrauch The new HW95n seems dry?

Here's some more pictures. This is a new Hw50 with the bead of slag.

My point is if the rifles covered under warranty have them fix it. If you uncover something like this or a bad tubing seam like my other post you wont have any recourse.

The rubbing sound is annoying for sure. If it annoys you enough, send it back. Otherwise I'd use a little more and see if it gets better or worse. It's not an uncommon sound on new guns. There's parts still mating together. Whatever you do don't try to oil it through the transfer port.
The only problem is that it was smooth prior to this little episode. It started with a rough return stroke after cocking. I lubed the pivot points and back to smooth. Shortly followed by the rubbing from the spring area. Like said it has never dieseled either. No smoke or that typical smell. I left AoA a message about it Saturday but they haven’t got back with me yet.

If you like the gun, check it for accuracy and then tear it down and lube it correctly.

It will shoot better and last damn near forever.

I wouldn't own one without tearing it down. But I don't need a warranty, so if that's important to you then being hesitant is understandable.

Far as lubes go, I get Krytox for free and still use moly paste. I think it works better for piston seal lubrication, because it doesn't get squeegeed away from where it needs to be like Krytox will. Either will work, but Krytox is certainly not worth the cost for this application if you had to buy it.

My two cents.

They're not great about returning weekend calls right away. I wait until Monday and call then. I hate waiting for call backs.

You could have a hard undersized piston seal that's got nicked up from them shoving it in the tube that has the hw razor blades in the tubes cutouts. So a better seal and debuting comes in play

Anyway lots of guys that know hw just tend to go in and fix you there new gun right off .. welcome to hw.

Did you lube the cocking shoe slot. The new shoes ride on the chamber and do not push down on the piston. They are of soft cast or sintered steel and will gall .. take the stock off and lube the whole slot with a good moly based grease and don’t be shy it’s not gonna transfer into the chamber as the piston is sealed and a few times cocking it finds a home.
pat least a NLGI #2

Done!
The lube repaired it with AoA's good graces and coaching from Mycapt65.

I know that album like the back of my hand.
Glad you got it smoothed out. Weirdrock isn't paying attention.

Telling you all the Zombie Troof
Overnite Sensation was probably my favorite
Jean Luc Ponty electric violin
Tina Turner backup vocals
Zappa shreds
And The Mothers.
Had this recorded on cassette. Incredible fusion. After 1:30 I could not drive below 90mph ! On windy back roads 😄🚀
