So i visited my friend to get the new rifle going, and after dragging the targets out to 50 M, which then upon measuring turned out to be 47 M / 51 yards we was ready to let lead fly.

I opened up the ball with JSB heavy pellets, which without trying too hard my gun was not that happy with, though also not horrible, but i think the barrel need to lead in a little before it will really like those, still i did manage to launch 300 or so of those.

Then i changed to the JSB Monster redesigns and things at once looked much better, though in the change i also moved my scope as far back as it can, that also felt a lot better.

Anyway i snagged a picture of the first target shot with the heavies, and then a later target with 3 groups to it using the monster redesigns.

All in all i am happy so far, but i am taking the gun apart later today.

And then i will see if the carbon fiber pipe i got months ago can brace out the liner, or i will have to get a FX one, and then i am going to take some measurements for other projects i have in regard to putting my own "smoothe Viking" twist on things

I do not have a crono yet, i will get around to getting one of those next month, rear reg is at 90 BAR and i was shooting at the 7 hammer setting for the M redesigns, hammer spring adjustment screw is at 3.9 mm.

I wanted to get the new inline crono, but really i think getting the old one will be better, so that is my new target,, and readily available within Denmark.

The carbon pipe i got to brace out the liner, well as feared the .177 liner are smaller and the shroud too, so its 8/12 mm dimensions are not going to work ( i have ordered the FX carbon fiber tube today along with a few knickknacks like a bottle clamp for my bipod

Taking the liner out it was pretty clear that 2 of the O rings had slid to sit beside each other, everything there was oiled, so i cleaned it up, made sure the O rings would not slide when i put the liner back in ( piece of duct tape around the barrel on either side of the O rings ) and then put the gun back together.

I am planning to get a piece of carbon fiber pipe that will enlarge the diameter of the barrel outer shroud so it will match the outer diameter of my moderator.

The barrel shroud is 28 mm Dia and my moderator is 35 mm

Yeah i am okay with things as they are ATM, the wind was moderate at just 5 m/s from the back.

I have a bottle clamp on the way so i can mount my toypod ( very cheap bipod )

Also have some levels in the mail so i can verify my scope mounting, and i have to do something about that cuz the rear scope ring block the view of the mark for adjusting the scope, so will have to make 2 new marks on the scope and zero to those, but thats also quite doable, but also not able to see the line for the focus knob, i am not sure if i can realign / zero that if it should be possible to shoot FT in my country one day ( people are working on this )

I am not sure i can wait a week + for a crono, so Sunday i will probably order one, and get a block of 50 M benchrest targets.

My plan for beefing up the shroud to match the diameter of that thing on the end of the barrel are scrapped, i was not able to find a piece of carbon fiber tube that would do it.

With my last mag i tried to shoot a dead branch / twig on top of one of the trees at the back of my friends field, that is 100 M for sure, but i only managed to dislodge a leaf on another branch behind it, and that was pure luck.
