The new RTI Assisted Valve (Video)

Interesting... I own 3 RTI rifles. (Actually one is my wifes) 1 is the full size Prophet. The other 2 are compacts. The compact in 22 (wifes) the reg pressure will not go below a 100 bar.. with the hammer spring flush it still shoots 16gr pellets 900 fps. I would have liked it to be shooting 850-880 fps. (I can make it shoot in the 800's if the I have the hammer spring adjustment sticking out the back.. but I dont like that. Or I can remove the hammer weight)
Now my compact was originally a 25 that I put a 177 barrel kit on... again the reg will not go below 100 bar.. and I had to remove the hammer weight to slow it down to shoot 10.3gr pellets 880 fps that's about as slow as I can get it without cutting or changing the spring or using a heavier pellet.. even though both compacts are the Prophet 1... they shoot pretty hot and a bit finicky to tune 880 and below.. with the 25 barrel on and the hammer weight back in. Reg set to 120-130 bar it has no problem pushing 25.4gr pellets 880-900 fps. I'm definitely a fan of the RTI rifles.. my only gripe (and it's a small one) is the left hand cocking (I'm right handed) I dont mind the left hand cocking when I'm bench shooting but it's a bit cumbersome for me while hunting.. I'm getting use to it but it would be nice if it could be made to be left or right handed cocking...

looks real nice Orion so what kinda shot count did you get with that settings 70-80 shots per fill or more also oem compact bottle
Shot count is about 90 shots, but that's with my gun, I think the P2 will get less shots, but I don't know if they did any final modification on the valve for better lower speeds, I'll ask.

Helps to shorten the hammer spring by a coil or two. Allows for a lower tune with a little free flight on the hammer and less air robbing hammer bounce. Quiets it a little bit too.
The new valve has a new spring, way easier to cock the gun, it's a weaker spring. With the new valve the HST is not that important as it was before.

RTI told me the valve is the one that needs modification to get into the lower speeds, opening the hole a bit more, I'll follow up with them to see if they finally did something on the production version.

I had posted that for Jason since he wanted a lowed tune. Thanks for keeping us up to date on the newer models features.
But when you utilize the barrel swap like I do. (I understand most shooters probably don't) it would be nice not to have to cut springs and remove any hammer weights... less parts to keep track of or possibly loose... when hunting season comes it I swap back to the 25 barrel and I have to remember the hammer weight... ( atleast I remembered to write my settings and to add the weight back)

IMG_20220711_212452.jpgIMG_20220711_212515.jpg
