I know who you are, and you'll consider this place a second home!New guy posting for the first time. Been in airguns since the age of 3 and PCP's since 2015 and active on the other forum since then. Joined to check out the classifieds mostly, but sure I'll be joining in some of the discussions.
Thanks, glad to be here. Maybe I'll figure out who you are. I don't recognize the name or Avatar. On the other forum some folks listed their names. No such thing here....I know who you are, and you'll consider this place a second home!

I took the plunge with a VP, then got a sweet deal on a preloved Sniper so, then fell deeper into the tuning and except for a messed up o-ring in the front reg on the new VP, the rest was easy. Tuning them is fairly easy. A few tricks and some things to watch out for but I'm loving them.Yes, usually I'm more of a mid price range guy. I always said I would never own an FX. Well I got a great deal on an older FX Wildcat MK I a few months ago and started researching the Impact, but think a Maverick is probably a better fit.
Thanks for the vote of confidence on the Maverick. I think the Impact is too heavy and tuning for me. I might go for the Maverick instead if I can find the deal I can't refuse. From what I'm seeing researching, the tuning should be a lot easier on the Maverick.I took the plunge with a VP, then got a sweet deal on a preloved Sniper so, then fell deeper into the tuning and except for a messed up o-ring in the front reg on the new VP, the rest was easy. CCPJ, I don't know if it's OK to mention other forums or not. Didn't want to step on any toes as it was my first post. I'll DM you the name. Hopefully someone will let us know if we can mention the other forum. LOL
You only need 3 things, ok I lied 4...err...5 things. 1. a starting point AEAC has some great numbers, suggestion start LOW 2, some good tools, I absolutely LOVE Bondus American Made. 3. A rear digital pressure gage, got it off of Amazon, same as the others without the huge markup, oh and batteries 4. Silicon oil, get it the same time as the tools, gauge. 5..Air, lotsa AIR. Ok there a #6. a FX radar, set it back from the muzzle about 4 - 6". Oh oh #7 some digital calipers to set the Hammer Spring Adjustor. I've got a little write up somewhere on this forum for my VP and some other member tossed in some good Info. I'm working on the numbers I'm using for my .25 Sniper, set up for 2 different weight pellets, it's fun. Thanks for the vote of confidence on the Maverick.
