The Priest - PCP similar to Impact fom Slovenia

I am about to preorder mine.
I'd like to be prepared for when the Priest arrives. I'd like to fit following carbon fibre bottle to it.

This bottle is 0.5L instead of the original 0.35L.
Can anyone confirm that the diameter of the original bottle is 60mm and not 50mm? All of the 0.35L CF bottles I can find are 50mm in diameter and the 0.5L ones are 60mm.
Also, can anyone measure the distance from the gun breach block to the end of the barrel? Or from the end of the bottle to the end of the barrel?
I want to see if the bottle I proposed would fit, and if I would still be able to fit a silencer that is bigger in diameter than the shroud. If the bottle extends further than the barrel, than I would not be able to fit a silencer anymore.
I know about the thread difference betweeen this bottle and the original one. But as stated before, this can be fitted with a regulator.
Gregor, can you state anything about the loudness of the .30cal with 150bar of regulator pressure?
I can only compare to the FX Boss I own, so if you could rank it versus this, would be brilliant.

I just measured mine. Stock bottle diameter is ~60mm. There is about 38mm between the end of the bottle and the end of the barrel. You've obviously done your homework if you know the bottle thread is 5/8-18.
So 310mm is 12.2 inches. From the bottom of the bottleneck to the back of my fatboy LDC I measure about 10.5 inches or ~265mm. So this bottle, if you use a standard regulator, will certainly go past the barrel by about 45mm so It looks like it may interfere with LDC depending on its design and how much forgivness you get on the bottom radius of the CF bottle.
One thing I have been considering is swapping the fill port in the back of the gun with a gauge to monitor regulated air. That thread is 1/8 bspp. Just in case you wanted to know.

My Priest with a Talon Tunes CF bottle and JDS Airman 1800psi regulator. SWEET!
BTW, there is about .100 clearance between the bottle and shroud.
This one is set at about 36FPE in .22 cal. I also have the .177 kit for it and it is just as awesome!

was there any bugs to work out when the gun was new?

I experimented an awful lot trying to make it better than it was when I got it. I failed to improve anything. What I did for was take the reg down to 135 and lose the weight. Roughly the same fps and I figured I'd get more shots on reg.

Nothing really. I got one of the first so I assumed the role of guinea pig. Wanted to see if I could Max out fpe, increase shot count or whatever, find a "better" reg setting, etc. If you want consistent, accurate, for as long as you can. Stock priest is good. King heavies at about 845fps stock. Consistently 2inches or less now with a bit of practice. What I like most is the 1.5inch spinner I can hit a lot at 40 yards off hand. I'd say 8 out of 10. This is the place where the priest shines most. My dinner tonight was actually compliments of the priest. Lol.

TopAirMan, that Priest looks killer! What's that brand of moderator you fitted? I'm having a hard time finding something for M14x1 thread. Cannot understand why you would not make a standard thread size.
To be honest, the price of the Priest will be quite high if you want to add a CF bottle and a custom moderator. Getting closer and closer to the price of an Impact.

Thanx Jellvand! The HushMod is one of my own designs and does it's job very well. And yes, a mod would probably be needed in an urban area or where neighbors may dislike the sounds of high power airguns. Quite frankly, I'd pick the Priest even if it was the same price as the Impact. No doubt about that!

I think a mod is necessary. Back when Donny was making the fatboy I specifically asked for another rear cap threaded m14x1 as well as the standard 1/2x20. Moderator makes big difference but i have shot in my neighborhood backyard without it and no cops showed up. I'd recommend it. If nothing else works, i can make an adapter to 1/2x20 for you and ill do it real cheap. I'm not expert with a lathe but certainly not a stranger to one and I am confident I make one as true as anyone else for this application.

I stay in South Africa and received my Priest a month ago. Got it in 0.22 and 0.25.
In both calibres it is awesome. Dropped pheasants out to 55m. In 0.25 I get 47ft/lb with great accuracy.

First test firing of my Priest with test Arrow. Lots of work still ahead. Will update regularly.

Please do update. I'd like to know velocity and what arrow you have to use. If it is interchangeable with the pioneer airbow that'll be awesome. very cool palbirds. Thanks.

Arrow is 385gr alu, do not think it is interchangeable, but will check. I will up the speed later. At moment shoot just over 200ft/s with regulator at 125bar. Video of 20m shot.

Does the priest require the Metric regulator? Not having any luck getting info from the UK supplier of the Priest.

The original Priest reg has 5/8-18 threads for the bottle. Not sure what you mean by "Metric regulator". You can get regs from JDS Airman in the U.S. http://www.jdsairman.com/
