Oh how I love the New York winds. 10-13 mph coming at me from 11 to 2 o’clock. The Prophet did well keeping groups right about 1.5 MOA. FX .25 34’s going about 860 fps, any faster and they were all over the place.

Nice shooting. Does your Prophet Performance V1 like the JSB 25s or 34s better? Obviously, the 34s would be better in the wind…. but on a calm day, which pellet shoots better?

This was with the new RPB barrel, put it in on Saturday. Haven’t tried the 25’s in it yet. Had the 34’s running great yesterday when it was calm at 930fps. Today with the head wind had to slow it way down. The LR barrel it came with hated the 34’s at any speed but did great with the 25’s.

Ah, OK. I have the LR V1 barrel in .25 (also in .22).
The .25 LR barrel has the same 1:32 slow twist rate as the .22 LR - so I’m hoping to get good accuracy with the .25 at high (950 fps) velocity with pellets. Have not shot it much yet.
Interesting that you are using the new V2 .25 barrel - are you shooting slugs as well?

I ordered the V2 barrel because my LR hated the 34’s. I shoot out to 120 yards so don’t really plan on trying slugs but thought the 34’s would be better than the 25’s considering I’m usually dealing with very variable winds. My LR did well with the 25’s at high speeds up to 50 yards, past that they move around a lot.
