All the new BM’s are made in a silver action, TM’s are in black, Vince wanted a black action to match the carbon fiber sleeve and LDC."jp003"Ken, why did you recommended the TM1000 over BM500 MKii for Vince?

Thanks for the welcome! I own several Hatsans and while they are good guns, the RAWs are on another planet. Selling my Hatsans for optics, rests, and the necessary to compete at the highest levels."chasdicapua"I agree with Ken about the moderators not effecting accuracy. I've shot multiple 750's (indoors) with my TM 1000 with a moderator on.
I like the title of this thread "The RAW Experience". Just looking at it is great. They're so well built. Cocking the gun and closing the bolt is fulfilling. The best is how it places the pellet right were you want it. (unless you mess up!!) Besides my TM, have a BM in .22 on order for Open Class.
Vince, you're going to love it. You'll need to wait (14ish weeks), but it's worth it. Welcome to the RAW "Club"
Thanks for the welcome! Initially I had reservations about spending that much money on an air gun. The second after pulling the RAW trigger for the first time, I no longer cared how much the gun cost...I just know I have to have one!"Brian.in.MI"Good choice!
Been shooting adult airguns for 20+ years and made the switch to RAW this year. Beautiful, durable, insanely accurate and made in the USA. Welcome to the family.
Crusher,"crusher75060"Have you looked at a Brocock? They are reasonably priced and I've seen a lot of good things about them. Go here and watch the video on this page.

Hi chasdicapua! Baxter Walton is a friend of mine and he is indeed the go to guy for Hatsan airguns. He's currently backed up several months and I fear that the RAW will be here before he gets it back to me and that still leaves me without a rifle to shoot."chasdicapua"Vince, wait for the RAW. No need to spend more money. Hatsan's are decent rifles. I had a couple including the Galatian. The Galatian is a very decent rifle and has potential. It's pretty powerful, so be sure it's not shooting too fast for accuracy. Probably will need to use the JSB monsters or beasts (or another pellet (H&N) of equal weight) for best accuracy.
If you "need" to have a bridge and spend more money, there's a guy on the forum who tunes Hatsans and gets good results. He goes by the name of Bwalton. You may want to contact him to work on your Galatian. Then you will have a pretty awesome rifle to shoot while you wait for your RAW. Shoot while you wait and after. I still shoot my Hammerli 850 CO2 rifle and get a lot of joy out of it. Yes, my RAW's are leagues apart, but our "inferior" rifles can still give lots of pleasure to shoot.
Hi John...what a great story! Jan seems like forever until my RAW arrives but I'll be sure to keep you posted."spysir" Typical airgun story.
So nice of one airgunner to help another.
Over the years I have had many an airgun type over to shoot what I own. Matchs are even better when thinking of a new airgun.
That seems one of the great things about airguns, my first ever match ( just went to0 meet people) I shoot with several former National Champion's , they offered rifles, advice, comradery ..... and you'd have never know they were THE best, just folks who could shoot like gang busters being nice, one offered to sell me a rifle he won the Nationals with for the price of my not so great Chinese rifle, just to be nice.
Rapid Air Weapons did not exist when I started shooting or that would have been THE rifle to get.
Ken,
Thanks for requiting ( poor fella "more than one RAW" LOL ).
Vince, you WILL love your new rifle. Keep us posted.
John
Hey Dillon...its great hearing from you! Needless to say, I'm very excited about the RAW"Dairyboy"Vince my friend! How you been doing? Glad to see you ordered a RAW. They are phenomenal airguns as you have seen yourself shooting Salticons. He's definitely one of the best out there so to learn from him is a great experience!!
