This is our cat who lived for 24 years. His name was Frycek, and he was like a mini grandfather--keeping us little monsters in check.
He lived most of his life as an outdoor-cat, but decided he had enough of ticks and became an indoor-cat at the age of 20.
Frycek loved eating everything but what we gave him. He never found canned food to be particularly tasty. Our picky cat would always rather feast on the food taken directly from our plates. Here is him eating turkey for the last time on Thanksgiving. This was about a week before he died, and was the last time he ate substantially. He really went nuts for the turkey!
I'll never forget all the joy he gave me throughout my early childhood.
Antoni what a great friend Frycek was! And for so long too. Pets are the best. This is Littlegirl, she was a feral cat and it took me two years before I could touch her. She’s gone now but we had lots of great years.
Nice cat Dave! Fortunately for my 9 year old self (notice how I said 9 year old...), old cats like Frycek tend to let annoying humans pet them without caring much.
Great post about your cat and great photos too. Twenty four years is a long time for a cat. We had a cat that was with us for 16 years and I thought that was amazing. Thanks for sharing Frycek with us.
That’s an awesome setup! And what fun it must be to get together with a bunch of folks. A small Airstream is on my bucket list. I remember seeing them in Yellowstone Park as a kid. They seemed so modern and high tech!
