Theoben Eliminator For Sale/ Are They Worth It?

Howdy, I’m new to the forum here and only have a modest stash of Beeman barrel cockers for backyard enjoyment.
A local fellow stopped into our small town gunshop the other day with a Theoben Eliminator 22 cal. What a monster! I have always wanted a Beeman crow magnum and was told this is a very similar gun.
He wouldn’t give me a cash price and had already committed to listing it with them through gunbroker.com.
I may track the gun listing down and place a bid, it looked like a dandy. I assume like the crow magnum it will have a bit of a collector following and won’t be cheap.

So here is my question for you experts. Are these actually the same gun as the Beeman crow magnum? Are there any issues to be aware of on these guns? I assume if it is the same gun as a crow magnum it is definitely a giant old dinosaur with a lot of power!
This gun really intrigued me even though I had my heart set on a crow magnum.
Thanks for any input and I apologize if this has been a topic of discussion before.
Thanks a lot, A.C.

They are the same gun, Crow Mag is just rebranded by Beeman. First thing to ask is if it needs seals and service. Piston seals are increasingly difficult to get and depending what "Mk " the gun is and stock configuration it is will effect the value. Any Theoben for sale will draw a crowd they are very collectable these days...I saw a Crusader with a beech stock, (the Crow mag and Eliminators little brother) go for 1432.00 the other day plus shipping and may have needed servicing. These high powered Theobens including the Crusader are monsters to cock ( mine is 17 1/2 fpe and still a beast) just sayin'. BTW Airgun Werks and David Slade is the man to send it to for service, he had done several for me.

Same gun as Crow Mag, but might have the African wood stock. See below thread

To add a little color. The guns are beautiful, built like a tank, BUT hard to cock, triggers are “hunting” triggers. The gas rams can be rebuilt if the o-rings go bad.

It’s a nice collectable for someone that loves springers, but you will be better off with a PCP if want to control that type of power.
