Im have a theoben eliminator mk4
Now im found that the barrel breech have side to side play.
When i removed the barrel it have dish shape shims.
Im installed the right.
After turn the pivot bolt tight it have still side to side play.
Maybe its normal for theoben breakbarrels.

All of my break barrels have had some kind of Belleville or curved washer. You want it snug but it still needs to pivot.

You could try adding a shim washer to firm up the fit but that risks breaking things and you also have to deal with the nightmare of getting them lined up to reassemble the pivot bolt.

You try to get it evenly tightened with no sideplay;But the barrel falls slowly, You make sure that there will be no galling of the washers. There shoud be at least 2 washes on each side,But I am going on different brands...tr to get a parts breakdown and see how the washers go together..The Belleville washer is suppose to keep pressure on the closed barrel,if you have been getting it too tight the washer may have lost it's tension....So the Bwasher keeps tension so the barrel stays aligned and keeps the barrel fixed when fully cocked you need even tension on both sides.Fact ,I going to try to find a parts list now....Make sure what I said is TRUE I have found some parts lists.....google it Good luck

Theobens don’t have shims that I know of. Mine don’t
The only gun I have with a Bellevue washer is my FWB124
Weirdrock uses flat shim washers. Not a problem for most people.
Snug it up so it doesn’t free fall and no more when cocked.
Don’t fiddle around and “trigger” it when it’s cocked

Shims aren't shown on my Theoben parts diagram. But they do have them........... What was I thinking?

Im fixed the barrel play, the old pivot bolt the thread bit to short to close the play.
Lucky im have the right cutter so cut few more on it.
Now its tight zero play.

Sounds like a shim might have gone missing somehow. I would be doing some measuring.
You should be able to see a slight gap on both sides of the breech block.
There is a procedure to removing/replacing the breech bolt on a Theoben.
