There are lighter pellets than 44.75gn, They are made by ZAN, which also makes Slugs, the pellets I am talking about are Alloy and are 37gn, and out of my new from Hatsan 160 BAR gas piston's (for all of you whining about Hatsans other older pistons failing) my Hatsan 135QE .30 and 130S .30 are 819fps+/- and the 44.75gn Lead are 724fps+/-, my break barrels have ALSO been gone through extensively, eliminating as much air resistance/turbulance/friction as possible, I also shoot Rangemaster 44.75gn, AEA 66.2gn 580fps+/-, 50.5gn, 45gn, JSB 44.75gn, 50.15gn, Polymag 44.75gn, FX 44.8gn, 50.2gn and ZAN 48gn, ZAN 56gn, and 45gn Slugs. Other manufacturers that make .30 Pellets are;
Apolo Air Boss 49gn, Hatsan Strike 48.6gn, Rifle Round Field 45.7gn, Brimstone 50.7gn, Snowpeak 50.46gn, JTS 45.06gn. You can also modify Polymags into a Countersunk 40gn conical HP or drill them out to a deep well 36gn HP. There will be a seriously noticeable cocking effort increase with the 160, and probably won't be able to cock the gun with your other arm ! I still have 12.08fpe w/ a 45gn lead pellet at 270Yds. with a .30 break barrel !
