I see this assault by the Tree as a counter attack! 2 years ago a Tree out front threatened to fall on our Domicile.
I took pre-emptive action and removed that threat. Although I have been attacked by Old Man Oak since then?
I took a moderate approach and just trimmed him some.
That frame work held several targets out back at about 95+ yards.
I had planned to move it back to the house and reuse it. Now it's WAR!!!
No Tree shall go untouched in this Limited engagement that Trees have started!!

That reminds me of MANY years ago.
I was shooting firearms with a friend. We ran into the owner of a local shop and his friends shooting "black powder" guns.
The targets were paper held up by a wire frame, more simple, but similar to the your picture.
My turn to shoot a LONG .58 cal. rifle.
I hit the frame at a corner...and blew it all apart ! We / they had to resort to cans and other junk left by others on the ground !!
