I have had the DNT 225 and have the PARD Landsat 640. TBH, sweeping with the gun all the time to find the critters is a PITA! After all these scopes, I think my old self likes to find it with a monocular and then shoot it - with your scope of choice for night work!If this is what OP really wants to do, then I would recommend the DNT 225. It does everything reasonably at a low price for short distances.
And I think the multi-spectral are definitely the way to go! The DNT 225 is definitely the most for the money now!
