Thermal Video - Shooting a warm can in the cold

well they are large VS what was used for the Phoenix, but yeah worth a try too, though i do think you will need to really tap in the very bottom of the tin to get maximum spread of the fluid, dont think much happen if you just clip the edge of the liquid.

But worth a try, when i took that picture it was a spur of the moment thing and the 50 / 50 mix of liquids, well we had the lamp oil / grill starter fluid and then alcohol at hand, we both drove diesel back then so no bang for the buck to come after in our fule tanks.

The deodorant ALU cans i have, when deflated and cut down to just the very bottom part, they too are like 4-5 X larger than the ALU botle cap used for my picture.
But i recon they are still small enough that the energy of a pellet will make all manner of action in the liquid filled in there, of course we do not want too much action either, dont want to start a bush fire, and in Denmark we do actually have open fire bans in summers, maybe not every summer but it do happen here.

So if we could contain it to with in my friends fire pit which is like 4 foot in diameter it would be good, we will have to keep a garden hose at hand too, CUZ fun is good, but it must be responsible fun.

if we could contain it
I just had a thought. Perhaps you could use both parts of the pellet tin. Punch about a 3/8" hole (< 1CM) in the top and put a rolled up paper towel in it. Fill the tin with fuel and light the "wick". You could then just aim for the tin, and when you hit it, it would blow the liquid all over with the flame right there. It would have to be something pretty combustible.

but it must be responsible fun.
I agree. The time I shot an exploding pellet at a flammable compressed gas can, I did it while it was raining.
