They Don’t Even Know

The season opener is tomorrow. When I see animals like this the day before, I can’t help but wonder, “do they even know what’s around the corner?” I was shocked they couldn’t figure out that I was there.

Same thing where I live. First day of deer season comes around and they suddenly become very shy and disappear deep into the woods.
Your right, they "know" . I 'm retired so I thought I'd go after doves here . B.I.L. says he'll take all I can get. Ha ,all those birds that were around all summer disappeared the first of the season after I purchased my stamp. Never even uncased the .410 I brought along . Just kept airgunning starlings & hosps !:cautious:

I used to duck hunt in CA years ago. My 13 years ago my buddy and I setup a blind on one of our ponds. Roughly a 2 weeks before season we started scouting. I kid you not at least 200 ducks would fly in to our pond every evening around dusk then go and eat feed from our neighbors feed bunks. They'd hang around til morning. Day of season we were out there and maybe 15 came in the morning. That evening nothing. They know. They never came around again after season opened either. So frustrating. Seeing and hearing all those ducks come in just got the blood pumping. And then just utter disappointment lol.

They don’t evolve into dummies.
