Thursday was my best day out of many very good days of shooting in the back yard. Previously happy with both the AA TX200 in .177 and the R9 in .20 cal, but always with the pesky flyers, which I ascribed to wind, bad rest, poor trigger control, etc. Both rifles were guilty but I still luvved'em both. Got me a new Bald Eagle windage top rest (now I know why everybody groused), pumped up the rear bag with a couple of pounds more heavy sand, and shot some new to me pellets in both guns. The Beeman had shot the 13.73 gr Diablos from JSB well, but the H&N 11.42 gr gave me one hole groups starting at shot # 4 while resighting my scope, and continued from there! Never did that before, always at least one or more flyers. TX200 did the very same thing after substituting 8.44s for the 7.33 Exacts. What a day, even with switching winds.
