Benjamin Thinking of getting a Benjamin Discovery to tinker with.

Go ahead and get it. A great format to mod and/or personalize.

I would suggest maybe getting a hammer spring type power adjuster to replace the rear end cap as your first aftermarket part.

Don's valves are the bomb, but don't think you'll be able to tune to a velocity curve without a reg. Those valves are all about power!
I spoke to him back in November and he said he had maybe 6 or 5 of the .180 valves, not sure why they aren't on his website - I've one of those in a .25 bottle build, and it make almost 60 foot pounds with JSB 33.9 pellets with the reg at 2000 psi! They also work best with a soft hammer spring, or a P-Rod hammer spring with no pre-load.

GET IT!!

I am curious how a .25 barrel is worked out.

I ventured down the "lego" rabbit hole many times and still like the "tinker factor" but one hard learned lesson came from that... you'll never get back what you invest in one... My advice... grab a Fortitude. They already have all the features you might want to add to a Disco. ;) If you want to add one really nice upgrade.. Boyds stock hits the mark.

It's a LW barrel, originally sold by Mountain Air Custom Airguns. He turns the portion of the barrel down to fit in the breech, and machines the breech to accept his .250 bolt. I purchased it (used) off of eBay as a Christmas gift to myself lol.

Why would we talk you out of a disco? They are a blast! I'm putting two together now, one pretty close to stock, the other bottled and regulated in a boyds stock. If I remember correctly the bottled one was giving me 750 fps with tons of shots last time I had it together. The other had all the magnum air goodies, but even with a double tube kit was only good for 7 shots at close to 60 fpe with jsb 25grn.
You can spend alot and have a blast with these, but they are a great squirrel gun stock with a decent tune.

I picked up a rifle today. Bushnell Sportview scope. I think it is 4 power with paralax good at about 30 yards. Not sure what kind of wood the stock is made from. I ordered two triggers from Magnum Air Power. One for this rifle and one for my 3622.View attachment 530428

I will message you when I get it swapped out. The plastic triggers are great when polished, bend the safety/sear spring, replace the trigger return spring with a much lighter version, and add a screw to limit the intermediate linkage. This makes them a two stage with a clean break. I did all of this to my Anniversary 362 (metal except the cover) and my 3622. I will probably replace the plastic barrel band with a metal one as well. I am curious what you might use it for.
