This .20 cal. is impressive

If it would be better than. 177 and. 22 and. 25 there would be more. 20 rifles than in the other calibers. And thst is not the case.
False.

By your logic, if .22 was "better" then .177 wouldn't exist. If .25 was "better" than .22 wouldn't exist. We all have different ideas of "better" and that's why it's good to have choices.

In some regards, the .20 is "better" than it's alternatives (like BC, within the same realm of energy outputs). In other areas the .20 isn't "better" (availability, ie folks who like to see their budget ammo at Walmart for example, of course that also applies to anything JSB or H&N, but that's another argument).

There's a lot of .30 caliber rifles, but I have zero use or interest in them b/c they're not my idea of "better." Or in other words, they don't fit my airgun uses so I don't see them as better, but they still exist.

Thanks. One spin around the dial. Why wait. Man I’m starting to sound like I’m selling them. Crow

I was in limbo for the longest time. Now I can’t wait to shoot them again. Crow

Not familiar with Regal. Pic.I saw in another post shambozzie had some JSB 15.89 and I inquired at my source. The sales guy never head of them but it raised an eyebrow. 15.89 is fav. In.22. Crow

I’ve had no problem getting rounds . View attachment 303623 20,000 JSB, 10,000 H&N’s. Both excellent rounds. Crow

You can blame Midway. I remember that happened, didn’t take long. Their sales pitch worked. They did good. Crow
I’ll have a boat load of 15.89, once I sniff them out. Crow
I was told by a knowledgeable airgunner, that the 16gr have far better ballistic coefficient than the .22 RDs. Here’s the Regal. View attachment 303692
Beautiful grain. Decent looking PCP. Enjoy. Crow
Hitting in the right place do not depend of the Caliber but of the shooter and of the rifle.

. 20 Cal is romanthic because made us remember the sheridan rifles of our youth years... But Nothing else.

I don’t know a Sheridan. Fairly new to this. But can’t say .20 is better than others, but one might prefer.20 cal. The .20 cal. is very new to me as well. I shoot every day a variety of rifles of different cal. and can say I made several shots with the .20’s that seemed over and above.
I have springers in 5 cal. and enjoy them alll. If I had to choose 1 right now it would be .20. Crow

True, caliber doesn't matter, just shot placement and I can no matter which of the 4 calibers of rifles I own and happen to be shooting and even that doesn't matter since no one is perfect. We all miss on occasion even though we hate admitting we do.

Romantic? Maybe for some, but I'm not one and didn't get my first Sheridan until I was 55...lol. Also nothing romantic about .20 caliber since it will get the job done just as easily as .177, .22 or .25.

.20 is no better or worse than any of the other calibers including the price of pellets these days since the cost of pellets in the other 3 has gone up quite a lot. Some like it and happily buy guns in the caliber. Some don't, won't even consider it and then come on forums to tell you why you shouldn't either...lol.

I guess the .20 cal works ok

My only 20 is my 50 year old Blue Streak. Happened to shoot it today but not at squirrels. I dislike the clamp on scope mount (it moves) so I switched it to a Williams peep sight. I've still never shot a squirrel with it but may some day just for fun. Have to be at short range with my eyes on the peep. But I was hitting my 2 inch swinging target at 25 regularly.

I have shot squirrels with 177, 22, and 25s and I don't see a lot of difference. All kill well with good shot placement. I haven't gut shot squirrels with my 25s but probably did a couple that ran off after a hit with my lower powered 22. I'm sure a 20 is enough but then so is a 177.

I can see logic in a 177 or 20 when shooting a springer or if limited to 12 fpe. Higher velocity for the fpe means flatter trajectory. But for a PCP without a power limit, I like my 177 but I think a 22 or 25 also makes a lot of sense. But if I bought a 20 PCP I'm sure I'd like that too.

Very nice. I have a .20, .22, and two .177s in meticulously tuned 97s. My .20 is my favorite. I would like to find a nice, .20 in a pcp for my collection at some point in time.
Agee, have all the cal. in 97 as well the .20 is special. Crow
I've been debating on a .20.. got to stay off the forum lol $$$$
Easy debate and then you will never know and miss out. Crow
