I'm 145 pounds and can make it to 250 BAR no problem, never tryied higher but sure I can go for a bit more.

I can't believe all of the pansy compressors out there. I hook mine up to my scba 66 cuft tank and let it run for 6 hrs non stop. Only paid $500 dollars for it. No water cooling but do need a shop compressor to feed it 100 psi. I've had it 3 years with only problem was a blown fuse and that was my fault. Of course I'm talking about a f10 shoebox and they're out of business. There is a company that I think bought the pat. and is producing it as a CO2 compressor or something.
Too bad everyone bought into the CHEAP chicom compressor deal and put Tom out of business.

The only PCP compressor I've ever owned is the GX compressor. It's been about a year now, and I've filled up many SCBA bottles with it. It's still going strong.
My impression with all of these compressors (until you get over $5k or so) is you really need to pay close attention to their operational parameters. Overheating is a big issue. I never let my GX get over 45c. So I use lots of on/off cycles.
I think the same goes with hand pumps. You don't want to overheat those, either.

I guess the stages an quality of the pump play a factor, budget vs Higher end. What brand and model of pump are you using?

Actually no, in the past I had 8 HILLs and 2 FXs, now I'm running two China pumps and they work as well if not better then the name brand pumps

This is what you are missing. Cheap compressors are an expense. Bauer, Alkin, and Coltri compressors are an investment.
12 failed compressors in a row proves the point. Add up the cost of the dozen compressors that failed within six months each. Not only would that money have paid for a dependable compressor in full, but that compressor would be worth at least 75 percent or more of what it's cost new. Those 12 broken "economy" compressors are worthless. Why pay the cost of a dive compressor on the failed compressor installment plan?
Inflation makes a 2 year old W31 Alkin worth more than buyers paid for it in 2020. No downtime, no waiting for repair parts, and 12 fewer compressor failures. A dive compressor is built for the task. Quality built dive compressors are more expensive to manufacture than any high end PCP. Reliability, retained value, convenience, and headache free operation are worth owning one or two less high end PCPs.

I was wondering if running two pumps at one time would be a answer? We all know these compressors are being over
worked. Is that the answer? then $600 investment with two maybe the way to go! Kinda like over working a horse
with two much loadin the trailer. Get another horse hitched be side the first!

Hi Nate i think i can help ya"OK first off don't use any compressor over 3000 psi. OK Sit in a chair and tie a cord around your head and attach to the off and on switch on the compressor then when ya fall asleep and head goes down that should turn off compressor. O dont forget to turn off the water pump too. i hope this helps? Willy

3000psi? I go up to 4500psi on 300cc and 500cc tanks even filled my scuba tank with no issues, 8 minute intervals. I have the A3 portable compressor.
