This might be over doing it

This coronavirus thing has me looking for projects and it’s getting too cold to hunt. (Well for me at least). I’m only into groundhogs and pest birds.
SO?? I came across this little luggage trailer that just looked perfect to set up for a nice way to transport my shooting gear. It fits inside my garage so o can store guns and gear safely in it. Being ready to head to the range at a moments notice. I also can use it as a shooting rest with a tripod and or bags resting on the top.

Bubbler,

If it blows your skirt up, it isn't over doing it. Prolly everyone of us on this forum could be accused of "over doing it" on the whole airgun thang...

I think it is way cool...kinda like an airgun "bail out bag", only a "bail out trailer"! And I like the shooting platform aspect. Nice and flat on top, and I'm sure that trailer is light enough that you could unhook in the field and pivot it to and fro for better angles on your quarry.

Where are you gonna put the ice chest and coffee maker?

Enjoy!

I’ve considered the thievery issue. I have that fairly well covered but it is a concern. For the most part it will not be out of sight. If I would be staying over night I plan to bring “the goods” inside. Let’s face it that’s always a risk. I’ve been fortunate hasn’t happened to me yet. I have the guns and gear to use and enjoy so I accept all that goes with it.
I hope to travel west next year and while traveling I’ll probably put the guns in the car and the luggage in the trailer at least until I get to my hunting destination.

Very cool!

I have had some small and lightweight trailers before and am wondering if the bouncing and jostling around your equipment will receive is much of a concern. I would think that lining the bottom of the trailer with some thick gym mat material would largely take care of that. But then again, maybe the trailer is very softly sprung to begin with...

Bouncing? You know that’s something I never considered. Honestly. My plan will be to put my wife in it, close the lid and drive around for an hour or two. This will test more then the suspension of the trailer. On second thought maybe I better ride in the trailer and let her drive. Ya think?

All kidding aside I’m glad you posted that. I’ll have to consider that.

Not a bad idea on the lock.
The bouncing? There is no practical way to adjust the suspension on the trailer. The best I could come up with an inner tube underneath a false bottom. Plus I can hang at least one rifle enclosed in a soft case from a spring from the roof of the trailer. Most of my use will be local so I’m not too concerned but I have options now.
