This or This?

I’m wondering if anyone has an opinion as to these two lubes.

I’ve tried both but only once each so not enough data. The liquid silicon oil seemed to have an edge but again too early to tell. The weather has been lousy for a month straight; can’t get out to test.

The WD-40 Specialist Silicone dries so there’s an advantage.

Anyway if anyone else has tested please chime in.

lube for what .. i prefer rc shock oil for orings etc, a dry lube with teflon is good for hammers and other specific areas .. metalophilic oil is good to treat mrtal with to prevent corrosuon, and regular old motor oil works pretty good to wipe exposed metal down with for that satifying sheen lol ... wd40 on guns .. not so much .. its good to spray out dirty assemblies with ..

I have used Lemon Pledge many times as a pellet lube. I think it works well. But I switched a while back to Dupont Non-Stick Dry Film Lubricant. It is all I use now. It is exceptionally clean, in that it leaves no visible coating like Pledge can. It is a completely dry spray, but leaves the pellets with a very slick coating. After washing and drying, I'll lay the pellets spread out on a towel and spray them really good and then roll them around and spray again. Accuracy has been exceptional in both my springers and pcps using this. Everybody has their thing.........this is what I use.

I tried the WD40 silicone spray for a while. I saw evidence through tests and videos that WD-40 is a long term corrosive. I don't want that WD blended silicone oil in my barrels or on my guns.

Now I use the pure Super Lube silicone oil. I spray a good shot of it around on the foam in a pellet tin and then roll the slugs or pellets that I want to shoot in that tin so it coats them good. Then load them wet in the magazine. When the foam and rolling pellets and slugs gets a little bit dry looking, the foam gets flipped over or another shot of lube from the bottle. There is no mess, or smells, zero lead fouling, and very consistent shot to shot accuracy. There have been good reports about using Pledge, and Ballistol may work the same, but I have not tried that. I use Ballistol to wipe down the guns before putting them away.
