I videoed my shooting at 100 yards with a17HMR about 4 years ago. I could not see the dots then until I used the 12 power optics on the rifle. I shot amazingly well. My first time shooting at 100 yards with a .22 rimfire pistol was shocking experience for me. It was an overcast day, I had the pistol sand bagged and I was using a 40 power spotting scope. After a little tuning, I was able to hold about a 6" pattern while adjusting for a 10" drop using cheap 36 grain ammo. I had never shot pistol that far before. I am too cheap to waste money on shots like that. That was when I knew I had a good idea. It is challenging to use a laser with a 4" dot at 100 yards. My cheap lasers start to fail at <40 degrees F. It is always fun to try new concepts.I said in another thread that I could see my green lazer dot with naked eye - summer, mid day sunny bright at 50 meters on a paper.
Today I toke out my L2 with me again to my club.
Overcast and light snowing, I could see a green dot with naked eye at 50 meters and in my scope at the 100 meter target paper.
I am shooting with a green lazer only up in a three offhand when there is no time for a scope, best for fast tracking.
