FX Thoughts on sleeving FX barrel liners

I've been contemplating the various methods of sleeving FX liners and since I have several liners, thought I'd just give it a try. I will say one thing, I can't imagine them shooting a whole lot better as they are pretty accurate, but I wanna experiment.

First, ...on the Crown, why not just add several more round liner supports on the barrel to use the shroud to stiffen it? That's what I did on my 700mm .25 liner and it shoot lights out. Easy fix.

Second, ... again on the Crown, why not cut cf tube to lengths that leave a space every .. say 12" on the barrel. Put the round barrel supports in those openings in the cf sleeves and glue the sleeves in place. That would certainly stiffen the liner and support it. No danger of getting it off center with ill fiiting cf tube with oversize round spacers 3d printed, no real stress, and it should work. That is my next test.

The carbon fiber liners dont usually improve accuracy. The goal is to prevent poi shifting that has been an issue with some FX/owners. All of my FX barrel assemblies have the CF liner after chasing poi shifts in my first Impact. FX should ship out all their rifles with the CF liner if they want to continue to use the flimsy liner system found in so many models.

Yes they all shoot tiny groups, but I cant sit down and re-zero my hunting pcps every time I take it out of the case.

But the Crown barrel assemblies are not the same as found on the Impact Wildcat Maverick etc and I think they are more sturdy from the factory.
