Thoughts on some PCP Air Rifles?

Back in the discussion, there was mention of the weight of the HW100 with a scope. I have the 100S in walnut, with a leupold 6-20EFR in sportsmatch rings. I also swapped out the steel air tube for a titanium body. Anyway it is 8 pounds 5 ounces. I think the Leupold is 18 ounces, so I guess a lightweight scope could bring it under 8 pounds. I will say it feels lighter due you the balance and stock fit. I use mine for offhand silhouette practice.

Ok, my Caiman 25cal came in today. IT's a better looking little airgun than I had expected. Wood looks very nice, fit/finish of wood and metal is great.
Feels great in hand and light to handle. I bought it from Utah Airguns as a new on sale gun. They included a test sheet that detailed average velocity and function.

Ok...But now here's the kicker. When I picked up the Caiman and rolled it over in my hands to look at the underside, the gun came apart halfway :O
There are no screws/bolts holding the upper to the lower???? How on earth did that get past the QC at Airmaks and the "shakedown" function and velocity testing at Utah Airguns??? No screws in the box or case.......?

I guess I'll take it to the hardware store and see if I can fit up some screws and maybe lock washers? it looks like it might have had a lock washer on the screws....And I'm guessing they're probably cap screws?

Anyone else have a similar experience? I wonder if I bought a "return" rather than new stock on sale items?

I'm not really inclined to send it back. it's a pretty little gun and I think it would be a waste of time and money over some common hardware....
ok replying on my own post as a follow up:

I called UA and sent a couple photos to them. They're sending both the missing front and rear main screws and related bushings (?). Should have it up and ready this week. I think this rifle must have been assembled at 4:00pm on a Friday. :)

Ok, mainly just some thoughts for now. I'm looking for some experience/input on a PCP rifle.

Firstly, I haven't owned a PCP rifle and have only shot springers.

I recently purchased a HW90 for hunting use and to be honest I think it's a pretty potent gun from what I've seen so far.
I do find it a bit heavy and not really suitable for use with the irons.

I let a neighbour shoot it a little and he's falling in love with it and has asked a couple times to sell it to him.
Not really sure if I want to part with it (Actually I don't want to at all-lol) although I am wondering if I might make better use of a PCP at times?

Looked at the HW100 Sporter carbine in 22 and an Ataman BP17 in 22 cal online. I like the idea of the Ataman. Both appear to me to be similar in fpe and fps to the hw90?

Anyone have any experience with either? Looking to keep a PCP rifle 8lbs or less and under the length of an 8' 2x4.....basically compact overall that is.I have
I recommend a Huben .25. I love mine. It's awesome witlh follow-up shots. Also it has a power wheel which can be turned up to 90fpe or down 9 fpe. Its more expensive but save up! It is definitely worth saving money for.
