Looks like they sold out. They didnt have many left in stock before this last sale. I think they are clearing out the remaining stock for whatever reason. There was a few used Caiman X for sale yesterday.

Thoughts on some PCP Air Rifles?

I love my bp17, you don’t have to pump to 300 bar, I run both of my Ataman’s at 250 bar. I also love the forward cocking handle as well, this thing is loud though without any moderator so you won’t be shooting it your backyard unless you have good neighbors lol, I have a adapter on mine and I’m running a ronin on it, a little overkill but it’s super quiet.

I like the look of both the Ataman and the Caiman, although it's real hard to say without actually handling one or the other. Seems those Caimans are about 300 dollars cheaper for the moment. Every Airgun merchant seems to have a no return policy, so if I buy one its' a done deal I guess.
I'm still debating on the Hw100. Only thing that has turned me off is the stock styling. It's either Pixie Dust or Vepr Super.....

I agree with you on the AA S510. I can't decide between it and the Daystate Wolverine R Hi Power. From what I can tell the S510 comes only in .177 and .22 . . . I have both of those calibers covered and fancy the .303 Wolverine.

I've given allot of thought to a Caiman over the Ataman.
Shot my Hw90 a little today, I feel like the balance is a little outside of what I want. Stock is oversized and with the RWS lockdown mount, I feel the scope is mounted too high. I generally prefer a smaller obj. on my scope. Its a potent gun power wise, but I may put it up for sale and buy the Caiman.
I am wondering about the Caiman in 25 cal vs 22. I see on the charts the FPE is in the 40's for the 25 cal and only 25 or so for the 22. I feel like that might be a little exaggerated?
Does anyone own a 25 cal Caiman and could share some thoughts?

Ill probable catch hell for this?Just get a Gamo urben in 22 easy fill ,900 fps. in 22 low sound 10 shot mag.works .5.1/2 pd.Kill anything with in 40 yards. Nice trigger.that will get ya started $250 maybe less?Its a BSA Buccaneer in sheep clothing.Try that before ya dump $800 to $1500 into a air rifle."O" one more thing?its Ugley, ifen ya can get past that ya got it"

I have a Crown and an Air Wolf. Both are phenomenal rifles. I just received my new R10 and it is equal to the FX and Daystate in every category. I want an S510 or a Wolverine R next.

My Daystate and PRod both have the bolt action as well. I like them both very much, too. The Crown, Akela and Caiman are side levers, so I am open-minded to both.
My next rifle may very well be another side-lever. I "need" a dedicated .30 cal to round out the fleet. The Evol Paradigm is causing an itch.

I bit the bullet and ordered a new Caiman in 25cal from UA. Hasn't come in yet, but will be awaiting it.
I really wanted an Ataman but ordered the Caiman as it was less expensive. The 25 cal option was also a bit of a motivator for me.
We'll see how it goes!

All of these suggestions that are miles out of my price range. I wish I could have any of these. I would say not to overlook the Hatsan Flashpup. I have the full length Flash .25 and it is very accurate and incredibly lightweight. My Akela is very accurate too. But that one is very heavy. Just thought I would mention a budget option.

Ok, my Caiman 25cal came in today. IT's a better looking little airgun than I had expected. Wood looks very nice, fit/finish of wood and metal is great.
Feels great in hand and light to handle. I bought it from Utah Airguns as a new on sale gun. They included a test sheet that detailed average velocity and function.
Ok...But now here's the kicker. When I picked up the Caiman and rolled it over in my hands to look at the underside, the gun came apart halfway :O
There are no screws/bolts holding the upper to the lower???? How on earth did that get past the QC at Airmaks and the "shakedown" function and velocity testing at Utah Airguns??? No screws in the box or case.......?
I guess I'll take it to the hardware store and see if I can fit up some screws and maybe lock washers? it looks like it might have had a lock washer on the screws....And I'm guessing they're probably cap screws?
Anyone else have a similar experience? I wonder if I bought a "return" rather than new stock on sale items?
I'm not really inclined to send it back. it's a pretty little gun and I think it would be a waste of time and money over some common hardware....

Call Utah Air and they will fix you up with the missing screws. You're gonna love that little gun. It is powerful and very accurate.

I like those Caiman X's also. I don't think UA is stocking them anymore?
Feels like I bought the right little gun for what I had in mind. The Ataman BP17 still was a close choice though. If I had found one in walnut, I might have gone that route! The beech on the Caiman looks almost as good.

They are very comfortable to hold and shoot. I think it is the ultimate squirrel/rabbit /crow gun for the field.
