1. Rifle with bipod and NO rear rest.
2. Table, or shooting bench, and stool with no back.
3. Place stool at end of bench or table directly opposite of the target.
4. Sit with the outside of your non trigger hand shoulder pointed to the target and ensure your non trigger hand arm does NOT touch the table or bench.
5. Stand and hold the rifle as you would for a standing offhand shot and take aim.
6. Sit down and take aim.
7. Adjust the height of the bipod and stool and repeat steps 5 and 6 until your aim is on target and you are sitting with your back close to vertical.
8. You are allowed ONLY 3 points of contact with the table or bench: both feet of the bipod and the elbow of your non trigger hand.
9. You may use your non trigger hand to control elevation and windage at the butt with the elbow of your non trigger hand resting on the table. You may repeat steps 5. 6. and 7. until you have a comfortable 3 point position with good steady aim capability.
10. Two minutes between shots, One minute to take the shot. During the 2 minute wait period you must NOT be touching the rifle.
This technique is from urban sniper knowledge gained from deploying the Kalashnikov SV-99 inside various dwellings and using a table to shoot over a windowsill while being far enough back in the room that your muzzle flash would not be seen or the sound of the shot easily located.
If your table or bench top is slick, feel free to urinate on a dish towel and lay it on the surface for extra friction.
