I just wanted to do a brief review of the Tier One FTR bipod I bought a few weeks back. My boys and I shoot from a bench a lot and have used quite a few Accu Shot, Atlas bipods and more recently the Accu Tac, FC4-G2, WB4 and BR4 bipods. We love both Atlas and Accu Tac bipods, they’re well made, durable, adjustable, work as they should and look great too. However, I wanted a true F-Class bipod that was lower, wider and lighter with the same adjustability and the ability slide for repeatable accuracy from the bench.
I looked at Dolphin, Mystic Precision, Sinclair, Remple and Centershot but decided to go with the Tier One FTR because of the great reviews and after talking with Harry at Tier One, it sounded like it was exactly what I was looking for. The Tier One is made specifically for static shooting from a bench. It’s not for hunting or carrying around when you’re pesting. It’s 475mm wide at it’s lowest position and has an adjustment range of 120mm…It’s wide as you can see next to the FC4-G2 in the pictures! It’s also light at only 20.8 ounces but really feels lighter than that. It’s made from solid bar stock aluminum on a five axis CNC machine so although light, it still retains it’s strength.
What I immediately fell in love with is the ease of adjustment, it’s very smooth, light weight and has a very wide stance. It’s very solid feeling and is just the right height when using a small to medium rear bag. I also really like that the bipod is easily repositioned because of the integrated ski feet. I’ve only used this bipod for a short time but from a bench, none of the bipods I have used can compare to the FTR. It really is awesome, the stability and ease of use are phenomenal! I’ve used this bipod on the Red Wolf with a Picatinny mount and also with the Anschutz(T-Rail) on my Impact. It is very secure, easy to mount, adjust and manipulate on either of them. There is a large lever to adjust cant and two small wheels to adjust the tension for the elevation adjustment. Depending on the adapter being used there are other adjustments as well. The bipod comes with an Anschutz and swivel adapter but a Picatinny adapter is additional.
The bipod comes with either a black or silver(titanium) finish and there is also a carbon fiber version available. They are very well made, look great and are easy to manipulate from behind the gun. These bipods are expensive but like with almost everything, you get what you pay for. I ordered mine directly from Tier One, shipping was free and only took 5 days to the West Coast. The bipods come with a 30 day return policy and a lifetime warranty.
I’ve been working a lot lately, I’m tired and wanted to keep this short. If you have any questions, just ask. I’ll post the specs from the Tier One website below as well as a few pictures. The Tier One website is tier-one-usa.com
Here is some information from their website…

ADAPTERS & ATTACHMENT
Attaching the FTR to your target firearm is very straightforward: just use the supplied Anschutz, Freeland or sling swivel stud adapters for a completely secure fit. Getting on target is very easy with very small adjustments made possible by the precise capstan wheel. You can also adjust for cant using the tension lever until a suitable level of torque is reached.
