Time to come out of the closet. List you lowly bb guns.

We all have our PCP and Springers. We are all afraid to admit it, I bet many of us have a few BB guns laying around. Face it they are fun to shoot. Can be shot in your living room, hallway or basement. Nice on a cold or rainy night. They also make inexpensive project guns. Here's my list, Not that I'll be telling my shooting buddy's!! and I'm always looking for projects.

Daisy 1894. My first love. LOL! My brother and I inherited it from my two oldest brothers . I have 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Hand me downs were a way of life. I learned to shoot as well as the Daisy could be shot (I thought). I used it more than my brothers did. It ended up in parts and eventually scattered about. Had a hard life. My cousin no longer wanted his so while visiting my uncle he gave it to me. He kept his very well. Still had the box . 27? years ago. I think about rebuilding and shooting it sometimes. I'd really get a kick out of that. Someday.

This was the last of my gunz that shot BBs. When I picked it up someone already had it nicely modded with the custom stock and shortened barrel that you see in the pic so all I had to do was add a decent set of rings and a nice scope. I think it was a Daisy but I have not seen it around in quite some time so don't know for sure. You know it's really hard to keep track of things when you get old.

Buck 1999, shoots dead on. Custom compression spring, drilled out transfer tube. Stock it shot 280fps, after tune an honest 350fps.

Stock Red Ryder with scope.

Ha. Those custom scope rings are great!

A couple of mine -

CP99 - some don't like "replicas", that's fine for them. Me I don't like spacey, funny looking cartoon guns..! All (not the M84) of the guns below have been fitted, in one way or another with a red dot sight, so my old eyes have a better chance of hitting what I'm aiming at. Also, yes, I know that a couple of these are pellet guns, but they are similar to the various BB guns, that I think of them in the same spirit, and all are CO2 powered.

In order of preference -

This CP99 is the higher dollar version. While the trigger is hard in single action, overall it's a nice gun. Realistic feel/weight. Fairly accurate to 20ft. or so. The rotary magazine works well. The CO2 magazine is done well.

M84FS Beretta - Never got to buy a real version, but always liked it (a friend had one that I shot).

Again, mostly a real feel and look. The all in one magazine is solid and works well. Not flimsy and cheap like some. Also, fairly accurate to about 20ft.

Tanfoglio Custom Gold - This is a heavy gun. All metal of some sort. It wasn't even remotely accurate when I bought it. Did a complete tear-down and "fitting" of parts to get it to hit what I was aiming at. Still not as good as the top two, but MUCH better than when I bought it. It is a solid gun, as the others should last a long time.

My last one worth mentioning.

The Beretta PX4 Storm. A friend has a real, 9mm version. Nice to shoot. This one is a bit of a mixed bag. Overall feel is mostly real, though a bit "plastically" (as the term goes) in the grip. The CO2 magazine well is done well, but the ammo magazine could use some design work (see guns above !). Fairly accurate, but not quite up t the top two above.

I have a couple other "more realistic guns" that aren't worth mentioning. Look mostly real, but that's where it stops.
