I’m on the same page. Don’t want to turn such a sweet shooter into a gremlin, so mine has a PEEK poppet to ease opening and a thinned stem to increase flow without enlarging valve throat. Allows for 60fpe at 140bar in .22 with the stock hammer spring.

I’ve read your post on that mod several times. That’s my next project. Problem is, I don’t have any machining equipment and I’m not a machinist so I have to find a local that can do it effectively.

Question, is the poppet just a pressed in interference fit or is it glued/epoxied.

Interference fit. I tap the stem into a slightly smaller hole and then turn down the stem adjacent to the poppet to get the flow increase.

Back in Germany...... and here is the new valve and fits. Now with a 7mm bore instead of 4.8 in series production. The valvepin is made of tungsten for extra weight, also centering / sliding discs for the spring to prevent tension due to adjustment.View attachment 517921, I can only test it with the 40 grain slugs when I'm back in Norway in April. Target is 1020 fps with 40 grain Slugs.

Black POM......and it´s just pressed in....POM can not glued, that would not be liable
