Benjamin Tips for cleaning up nickel plating on 397P?

Been on a bit of a Benjamin kick lately. There is something special about these old pumpers.

Was lucky enough to bring this baby home today.

Anyone have any tips on cleaning up the nickel plating?

Hard to tell in the pics, but it definitely needs cleaned up.

i think i would use some 000 bronzes wool
i know everyone would say 0000 steel wool but i have switched
but you want to be careful
so, if a clean soft rag will work use that
soft and gentle

Beautiful gun, looks like there is separation at the breech.

Clean with WD40 and a soft cloth. Let the WD40 have time to weaken hardened oils. Then use Mother’s Chrome polish and the softest cloth you can find. Nothing abrasive.

get on that baby with some Blue Magic and an old sock
