That's a good DocSeveral years ago I asked my eye doctor how she could set up my glasses to enable me to see my front sight better. She asked me what distance from my eye was the front sight. I said about 6 inches beyond my hand. She asked me if I had my pistol available for a more accurate measurement. I said yes, so she asked me to assume my shooting position so she could measure the length to the front sight. So in the doctor's office, with the exam room door open, I drew my 1911 for her measurement. She didn't flinch and set up my glasses appropriately.
