There is a stormy sound outside but the rain is spotty. If it gets wet the squirrel woods will be quiet. The leaves soften and the squirrels get careless because of the lower noise level. Still have to stalk into range quietly. Some large white oaks may still be getting stripped of their acorns. Small chips of acorn dropping into the leaves is the dead giveaway. It seems to toughen the leaves to be wet and I hear the sounds better. I turn up the hearing aids too. Helps to not shoot LR. Springers are so much quieter. Well, good luck if you are going out next AM. Be Well Brothers, dito.
