Today is pure torture

Develop some kind of loathsome deadly contagious disease that will have you at home for the rest of the week ... once at home take the phone off the hook, hang a quarantine sign on your front door and a put a "SLOW FUNERAL" sign out by the street, hire 2 dozen morners to parade in front of your house with weeping, pulling hair and gnashing of teeth while you call up the local news station and tell them that Saltlake58 is in dire straights, not expected to live and Hospice has been called. Then play with your Impact ... some things are just more important than a job.

Next week after your seemingly miraculous recovery you can do a television interview with Chris Wallace extolling the virtues of Wall Mart Beef Jerky which saved you from death's door and rejuvenated your whole mind, body and spirit.

Addertooth - You are too late. At least UPS sends an e-mail when they deliver. Called wife and had her bring it into the house within 10 minutes of delivery :) because shady types prowl the neighborhood looking for packages.

Don't know who owned the gun (bought it used) but it looks like it's never been fired. It's absolutely pristine. Magazine shows a little wear, but not much. Extremely happy so far. Now, gotta get the scope on, and do some test shooting. Even came with a 200 bar fill on the air tank, regulator set to 140 bar, and it shoulders well.

Bipod should be here tomorrow, I'll have a scope on by then and maybe tomorrow night, a quick shooting session.

Agony over for a couple hours. Now I can hug my baby before I go to bed tonight!

Well, family matters are keeping me from shooting. It'll be another week before I get to the range. I did put about 2 magazines through it and get the scope mounted. So far, flawless. Whoever owned it took care of it, and the only wear I can see is in the magazine where the pellets naturally rub. This is just about as bad as waiting for the Big Brown Truck, but the end (or beginning, however you want to view it) is in sight.

TO THE RANGE but not for a week. :(

Family matters not serious, just time consuming and sucking up my Saturdays. I've already let everyone know that the 19th, I'm shooting till I run out of air. Probably go to Lee Kay range in North Salt Lake. Really nice range, close, and I can get on the 100 yard range now. Due to the construction, they don't allow anything .22 or smaller on the 100 yard range, but the Impact is .25 (So, I can sneak in legally.) I'll start on the 75 yard range for sighting in, maybe just stay there

The Range Masters always get a kick when I show up. Airguns aren't the norm. Plus, I can shoot circles around just about any of the powder burner types. I'm thinking they'll really be curious about the Impact as it doesn't look like anything they've seen in an airgun before. Should be fun!
