Today we try fix the Aircuda MAX regulator,....will need help.

Ok, Ok thanks

how about keeping the housing and get rid of the internal section ? or just get rid of all the O-rings and washers ?....would that work ?
Manny .. same issue.

A Reg has an inner spool and it sealed via o-rings to the differing diameters within housing. Air pass's threw the middle of spool getting from HP side to LP side. Spool HAS TOO stay in place or air leaves threw the vent.

If wanting to BYPASS a reg ... Simply REMOVE the adjustment screw or omit the oring that seals it ( Your current issue BTW )

Just fix the reg. The porting is already regulated gun porting and hopefully if the company has their crap together it has a regulated guns lighter hammer weight. Guys stick regs in unregulated guns and have out of whack guns because they don’t complete the conversion. You could just be doing the opposite. You’re just a couple orings away from getting the gun back to what it’s supposed to be.

@AirArcher66 When I messed my stack up I just dropped in a new reg that I’d purchased as a backup in case I was unable to repair my old reg. Hopefully one or some of our knowledgeable members can walk you through the repair process. Do you have the proper sized o-rings on hand to do a rebuild? A close up would be better than trying to freeze the frame. The washers in my reg weren’t overly convex/concave making it really tough to eyeball their position without close examination. They almost look flat until you stack them against one another.

Ahhhh thanks, great info....will get that brass part out and see what I find.

NOPE .... There is an atmospheric vent hole in the REG housing where the air will leak out from #1
Not enough hammer strike or hammer weight if going unregulated #2
Horrid ES value if/when you do get it shooting w/o a reg due to HUGE ports #3
I have installed regulators on unregulated rifles and latetly took the regulator away without more effect than the ones I mentioned.

The gun came with a bag full of spare O-rings so I should be covered there,...would like to have a picture or diagram ....or even explanation of the staking of them washers

I don’t have the gun but if Motorhead says it can be fixed and the reg is not a flawed design and can be fixed with just some quality orings, fix it.
Garbage o-rings .... Been a VERY long term issue with most Chinese manufactured AG's. ( remember ALL the SPA AG issues )
As to regulator quality .. I'm Very impressed with it FWIW.

Tell you what tho, if I can fix it by using the O-rings supplied and it lasts an other 10 months I would be perfectly fine with it.

The regulator actually works really well, I have several shots strings on a Thread on GTA at various power levels and it did real well,....also tested for creep and found none and shot a fast string and looked like recovery time was not an issue.

At it again  ...learning things here

The O-ring in the brass thinghy literally cracked in little peaces then in half as I was trying remove it

Yup ... Their my friend is your issue, Tho REPLACE ALL the o-rings inside and out while your there.

Tho do understand the QUALITY of the orings that are hardening / cracking are the SAME as in the replacement pack sent with rifle.
Until such time as you source some better orings for EVERY connection within rifle the issues will continue.

DANG !!!!!! looks like it worked, not thanks to me tho :ROFLMAO: ....thanks to Scott that actually took the time to explain in simple terms to an Idiot like me ;)

Filled the gun to 125 BAR and looks like the regulator sitting at 75-80 BAR,....now just need to go in and try set it around 120-130 BAR and I will be golden.

Thanks again to everyone that took the time to try explain to a dummy like me
