Daisy Today's haul

Here's what I picked up at a local car/truck swap meet today.
A Daisy 1894, my first one.
A Daisy "Old Trusty" training rifle, my first one.
Two model 25 Daisy's, one missing the shot tube. These all shoot.

I have several model 25s now, but one of the ones I found today has this medallion on it. It's the first time that I have seen one like it. Nothing on it says 100th anniversary but it says since 1886, and the 100th year would be would 1986. Wonder if this gun was produced in 1986?

I've never shot an M25 before. What is it that you prefer to a Red Ryder?

I don't like the red Ryder except for the history. My first BB gun was a 25. Next was a single shot Remington rimfire ... Be Well Brothers, dito.

my one and only gun as a kid was a 25M it was more accurate and hit harder than all my friends riders .

I had to stop by Walmart today and pick up some BBs because I couldn't find the jar of 6000 that I have somewhere. My new to me Daisy 1894 and model 25 both shot a 1.5 inch group offhand, standing at about 15 yards. Both did better than I expected.
