"Unfortunately, we must say a final farewell to our long time Field Target friend, Tom Holland. As I understand it, Tom passed away on Tuesday night. He was an avid airgun tinkerer, pellet connoisseur and all around good guy. Tom was also a very accomplished crossbow archer having won many titles over the years. RIP Tom. You will be missed.“

I'm so bummed to read this. I never met the man but I really enjoyed his pellet cleaning and sorting videos. His efforts and willingness to share have made me a better shooter. Thanks Tom!

And a great ambassador for airgunning and especially field target.
He had innovative ideas, even in his older years.
I thank God for a nice guy who has served many of us on the forums — and I'm sure in person.

I was shocked an saddened by the news. Tom was a fun guy and a sometimes good shooter. He came within one shot of cleaning our Ft course at Falls missing one standing shot( a mosquito) with a three quarter inch kill zone. At the nationals in Pleasant Hill he came up to me and told me we were in shoot-off. I looked at him funny and he started to laugh and said, "Yea for last place!" He was always fun to be around. he will be missed.

Had the pleasure of meeting Tom several years ago at our dedicated airgun range on LI, he was a wealth of knowledge and experience that he shared with anyone freely. Always enjoyed shooting targets and shooting the poop with Tom, rest easy buddy.

Very sad to see Tom go. He was a huge FT supporter, enthusiast, teacher, and blogger. He always kept us up to date on scoring at GP events. What a great guy. Always smiling. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. He will be missed.
