Took advantage of Utahs free shipping and sale... who has a caiman or caiman x?

So I just love bullpups, and to be clear, a bullpup does not mean the cocking lever is forward of the cheek weld. The definition of a bullpup for those who don't know , a bullpup is a rifle with its firing grip located in front of the breech instead of behind it or worded another way a rifle that places the action and magazine behind the trigger. I only bring this up because there are members here who knock certain rifles such as the taipan not calling them a true bullpup because of the cocking lever. I like bullpups due to the short stature while still having plenty of barrel length due to the design.

Well yesterday UA had free shipping and the Caiman and Caiman X were on sale. I opted for the Caiman (ive been eyeing them forever!) as it is even shorter than my Taipan Compacts and lighter. I ordered it in .22 w/ natural wood stock and I went with it over other makes because I enjoyed my Katran, I think there is just something about those airguns out of the eastern european block, theyre just really nice ... I am just far more drawn to them after owning my taipans and also the short period I had a katran (that i regrettably traded to try fx) so here I am.

I ordered it with a budget UTG Bugbuster 3-12x32 as this rifle isn't going to have any rests attached to it and is going to be my farm pigeon/indoor off hand pester and while I enjoy my high end scopes, the bugbuster performs well for its price point.

Who here has a caiman? Lets see those setups and hear your thoughts. I really think this is going to compliment my collection really well, really really well.... I have high hopes.

Looking forward to your impressions… seems to be a sweet setup.

One day I will try a brocock @L.Leon , it should be here thursday of next week so tracking says. For the money I couldn't ask for more (im hoping), rifle came with an airmaks case, 2 magazines, fill probe, the bug buster, qd pic rings, and shipping for under $1400.00

It’s all legit, you like what you like… looking forward to your users’ take on the Caiman.

like that gun shotter 1721 did some reviews on it really nice shot count for such a small gun

It was tough finding a Caiman not a Caiman X video , same rifles but different length barrel and air tubes, From what I gather the shorty (which I got) can get around 60-80 shots per fill depending on tune which is plenty for me. I am pretty self sufficient with air.

YEAH i really like that green lamy stock

I like all the stocks except I think the black painted wood leaves a lot to be desired on that rifle, I went with the natural wood. I like it, cant wait to unbox it when it gets here.

I've actually got...both the Caiman and the Caiman X. Both in .22. Each in different stock colors.
I didn't start out to get both, just ended up that way.

The Caiman has a Holosun, AMES green dot sight, with a two segment Huma, M40 suppressor.
The Caiman X has a Steiner, DRS1x, red dot sight, with an additional Airmaks suppressor segment from the Caiman.

Been great guns. No troubles with either, both shoot well, they suit me, as I'm a fan of the true...bullpup design, that is...short !

If I could have gotten the Caiman in the "pepper" color, I probably would not have bought the X version. But that's ok.
