So I just love bullpups, and to be clear, a bullpup does not mean the cocking lever is forward of the cheek weld. The definition of a bullpup for those who don't know , a bullpup is a rifle with its firing grip located in front of the breech instead of behind it or worded another way a rifle that places the action and magazine behind the trigger. I only bring this up because there are members here who knock certain rifles such as the taipan not calling them a true bullpup because of the cocking lever. I like bullpups due to the short stature while still having plenty of barrel length due to the design.
Well yesterday UA had free shipping and the Caiman and Caiman X were on sale. I opted for the Caiman (ive been eyeing them forever!) as it is even shorter than my Taipan Compacts and lighter. I ordered it in .22 w/ natural wood stock and I went with it over other makes because I enjoyed my Katran, I think there is just something about those airguns out of the eastern european block, theyre just really nice ... I am just far more drawn to them after owning my taipans and also the short period I had a katran (that i regrettably traded to try fx) so here I am.
I ordered it with a budget UTG Bugbuster 3-12x32 as this rifle isn't going to have any rests attached to it and is going to be my farm pigeon/indoor off hand pester and while I enjoy my high end scopes, the bugbuster performs well for its price point.
Who here has a caiman? Lets see those setups and hear your thoughts. I really think this is going to compliment my collection really well, really really well.... I have high hopes.
