Top of the line springer excellence

The HW50S is a fabulous air rifle. Shot these three dime size groups this morning at thirty yards. A very nice and accurate springer that is very light and still packs a decent punch. Weirauch rifles are incredibly smooth to cock. Cannot say enough good things about this rifle! Way fun! Quality is just plain worth it. Make no mistake about it.JSB 8.4 was the pellet of choice.

I bought one last year and sent it back because it was as difficult to cock as my R9. I was hoping for some like 24 pound cocking effort as advertised. PA says that was to be changed but never was. How does heavy does yours cock? Brian Smith

About the same as an r9. But a smaller lighter package to carry. Shooting th 8.4s at 840 fps though. Just under my Hw 98 which is just a glorified R9. Lol.

Can't knock Weihrauch springers at all. I've owned a couple over the years, and my HW95K has been with me since 1996. I had it stock standard out of the box for a long time, but when it was due a new spring I sent it to V-Mach Custom Rifles in the UK, and it came back as the sweetest, smoothest machine I've ever handled. It'll be 20 years old this year and it's still a spectacularly good rifle. I've had a number of other rifles come and go over the time that I've owned this, but I've never entertained the idea of selling it.

Hw95 or Hw97k? I have the 97k without a tune and it's a little twangy. My Hw98 though is smooth and accurate. I love the smooth cooking of all my weirauch rifles. My RWS 34 is vorteked and it is very smooth.

I completely agree. I have had my hw97 for a month now and put 1000 round through it and I am very impressed with the consistency and build quality of the rifle. Mine is completely out of the box and i can only imagine how good it would be when highly tuned. Just wish there where more tuners in the US working on these rifles. Seems like there is not much demand anymore saddly. I might get a V-mach kit from AOA or a vortex and put it in myself at a later date but having a blast as it is.

HW95K

As somebody else pointed out above, the HW95 carbine...although I'm not wholly convinced there's ever been a different model available. In the late 90s it was called the HW95K, but it seems that it's just referred to as the HW95 now. I have no doubt that somebody else here knows better than me and will correct me though.
