Torgue specs for bottle clamps

I just made mine snug. They are lined with a rubbery coating and my hardware bottomed out before it over-tightened on the bottle.

Mine bit into the carbon fiber (contacted the bottle off the rubber lining) because my bottle was slightly bigger than average. So I added a couple of small thin washers and torqued them to about 60in-lb.

Go until 1/4 turn before snapping back off a 1/2 turn. Ok jokes aside just snug I don’t think there’s a torque spec

I had one back when I had some bottle guns. You really just need to tighten it till the clamp stays put and doesn’t rotate.
If I recall on my bottles it allowed the two clamp halves (in the area of the screws) clamped tight to where there was no air gap between them. Bottle diameters vary a lot between bottles.
It doesn’t hurt to put a small dab of anti-sieze on the screws. And remember, the aluminum is soft compared to the stainless screws so don’t get heavy handed with tightening. And tighten each screw the same amount of torque. I rarely use a torque wrench but then I spent my career with all different kinds of fasteners. Only used torque wrenches when customer specified a specific torque requirement.

The torque limits on these are not very high! Just make then snug and they will be fine. There is no reason to go nuts on them.

One time talking with izzy I want to say he mentioned something around 8-10 inlbs. This was a year or so ago so don't quote me, though you could call and ask them.
