Crosman Trapmaster 1100

I picked up a 1100 Trapmaster about a month ago. I was reloading some shells with #12 shot the other day. I want to try to use a round ball .375" / 3/8" , my question is has anyone tried using the 3/8" clay balls used for slingshots? I don't mind using lead balls but these should be lighter and a little cheaper. I just don't want to damage the barrel.

If it were mine, I wouldn't use steel as the barrel is aluminum. I got about 400-fps with lead balls out of mine. I never did chrono the shot-shells.

You won't damage the barrel with the clay ammo. Let me know how they shoot.

The # 12 shot is lead not steel, so no worries there. But MAN they are small and there are a bunch in every load. I am really loving this gun. Does anyone know of a 3d print file to print shot shells?

Thanks , for the advice as hard as they are to get I don't want to damage it. I have been talking to Tim @ MAC1 about some Sheridans, may ask him about the 1100.

Cool. Glad to see he's back in business.

Ask Tim about the power-mod for the 1100, too. I watched him do one back in the day.
