Travel compressor help needed

Hey Guys,

So I have a big trip coming up and we are heading to idao for a few weeks and going to take the guns up and shoot with the family. I currently just fill my SCBA bottles at my fire station but obviously cant do that when I am out of town... so my questions are:

1.What is the best budget friendly compressor for less then 500 bucks aka what model etc
2. It will only be used a little bit on trips and what not otherwise i will use the station cascade system locally
3. anything i need to be concerned with using a cheap compressor

Thanks in advance

Gx cs4
Put in coupon on top of page. Bring it down below $600 shipped.
Or order the one with 12 transformer outside, 2 parts to transport but $100 cheaper.

Love my GX L3

Why not leave the air tank at home and just take a small compressor to fill the rifle direct? I have a nice air tank. I leave to go deer hunting in the morning and didn’t put it in the truck. I did put my GX E-L2 pump in my truck which is a 1/3 of the size of my air tank and I will never run out of air and can top my rifle up in just over two minutes.

where in Idaho are you going to be? If you are going to be in the Boise area there is a good air gun shop that will fill bottles in Nampa a short drive from Boise. Idaho Air Guns.
I have owned two under $1K compressors. Finally just bit the bullet and got a Daystate Coltri 230V. I have two 98 cf bottles and one 75 cf bottle.
Those last me a long long time between fills.

Will be in salon Idaho which I’m sure doesn’t have a full station being such a small town

I do not know how much you plan to shoot but I would also leave my bottle at home for the trip you mention. Mine is an expired Scott air pak, however, so commercially filling it is not an option. My plan for more than a day trip away from home would be to take a little compressor, likely a GX CS2, that can be powered by 120V, Cars, or a Milwaukee power tool battery. I will have to modify it to add the later capability. But with those options I should have air in the vast majority of conditions.

The other way to look at is to just use the bottles. I can fill my guns 10 or more times from my 45 minute bottle. That would let me do a lot of hunting.
