Tuning Tri-Flow vs AWS?

Hi all - total nube here, so apologize in advance if this a dumb question.

I just purchased my first gun, the Umarex Thompson SMG. I have learned that each CO2 cartridge should have a drop of lube applied to the tip. I know there's special lube for this (AWS chamber lube) but I have a bunch of Tri-Flow and was wondering if that could be used in place of the AWS?

there is a post over on gateway2airguns called 'Found a post on lubes today' that covers several lubes. tri-flow was listed and was approved.
