Primos bipodI would love to get some more advice on buying a tripod with ballhead (maybe someone reading this has one to sell?).
▪ I don't want junk.
▪ But I'm not prepared to shell out $500. Maybe $350?
▪ It needs to be tall enough for standing shots (I'm 6 ft).
▪ Weight: Lighter is better, sure. But if saving 1lbs in weight will cost me 100 US dollars — I'll rather save my money and spend my sweat.

thanks for the tipone tip is can offer is add a hook below the head if it doesn't come with one (as shown in some picks above).
if packing in, hanging your gear from the hook will make the tripod more stable.
