Tri-Pod

Here is what I use. It would be best used in hunting from a sitting position in a blind (ie. for coyotes, etc) or standing for pesting at night. I use it on my back porch for starling duty. I like the bubble level which ensures that my crosshairs are level when I level the rifle to the tri-pod then the scope to the rifle. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KMPCVMH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00

I would love to get some more advice on buying a tripod with ballhead (maybe someone reading this has one to sell?).

▪ I don't want junk.
▪ But I'm not prepared to shell out $500. Maybe $350?
▪ It needs to be tall enough for standing shots (I'm 6 ft).
▪ Weight: Lighter is better, sure. But if saving 1lbs in weight will cost me 100 US dollars — I'll rather save my money and spend my sweat.

Thanks! 😊

I generally pest hunt from a turkey hunting low to the ground seat or a Millenium swivel seat.
With the turkey seat I often can use my knees to support the rifle but I always bring along the short version of tripod trigger stick.
When using the swivel seat I use the
medium height tripod trigger stick.
The trigger sticks are perfection. They are instantly adjustable.
My shots can be anywhere from ground level to thirty or forty feet up a tree. So rapid adjustability is very much preferred.
I’m currently not a fan of the vise style tripods. I guess there OK if you have it adjusted just right for shooting at targets like rats in a specific area of a barn or something similar. With that type of set ip you may need to bend and hold to get the shot position. I prefer to build on bone rather than muscle. But I know they’re popular and some people swear by them. Trigger sticks are also significantly lighter and less bulky.
YMMV
