I’m wondering if anyone is having problems with this camera, like connecting to your devices (phone/tablet etc) or any body knows how to fix those issues, I really appreciate you comment and experiences in this matter. Thank you very much be safe
First question is, how old is it? There are some updates, and a lot of resetting. IF that doesn't work, contact TC and complaining. Savannah was pretty good, she tried. The time delay between South Africa and us is a bear unless you want to stay up late. Mine was less than a year old and absolutely nothing worked, they sent me a new one. It works perfectly. One little bug in the app but when get it working hit me up and I'll tell you the secret. Send me a PM, we're in the same time zone.I’m wondering if anyone is having problems with this camera, like connecting to your devices (phone/tablet etc) or any body knows how to fix those issues, I really appreciate you comment and experiences in this matter. Thank you. I just received it today brand new sealed box and the camera too, I spent 2 hrs trying to make it work with no success, I download the apps , one in my phone and one in my table , none of those worked, I can see the menu on both devices but no image .First question is, how old is it? Yeah, don't focus on what you are looking at, look at the reticle only, use a blank object to get it in focus, THEN attach the camera and focus the on the reticle with the camera.. From there it's good to go. I was having constant freezes as in, it's frozen, let the battery run down, recharge, then start the camera. Now, if your app will go to full screen, you are good to go. I'm using Apple devices, I had to go into they system icon in the app then out THEN the full screen icon on the bottom right of the screen would work. It's a feature that I've told them about.I had an issue with the app also and contacted Trigger Cam. Savannah sent me a firmware update and it's working now. It's still a little buggy, but much better than before.
The issue I have is focus. Seems I have everything in focus when viewing the stream on my tablet and looking through the scope, but the recorded video is slightly out of focus and not as sharp as I feel it should be. Any tips on getting the streamed video and recorded video on the same focal plane?
A wall would work, take your time to get the scope diopter focused on the reticle. A white piece of paper, the more contrast the better. Now getting it to connect, you have to turn on the TC, then go to your wifi settings on your device, select the TC, the password is flat out dumb 1234567890, it'll connect, NOW you turn on the app. You should be good to go. It may drop off on occasion, but not too often. So, if I look at the wall through the scope and get the reticle in focus, then do the same with the camera, I should be good? I'll have to check to see if the app with go full screen, not sure I ever tried. I'm also using Apple devices.
Interesting, on both my iPad and iPhone the thing stays full screen, or at least it did a few weeks ago, The iPad and the iPhone use the same hardware basically and the same iOS so not much there. I'm going to the range today to see if I've wasted more time on slugs, I'll put the camera on and see what it looks like. Thanks, I went back and refocused the reticle using a light colored wall. It was ever so slightly out of focus, but apparentlyy enough so the recorded video looked fuzzy. I streamed the camera to my iPad so I had a larger image while getting the camera focused on the reticle. I saw what you were talking about with getting it to full screen, what a pain. On my iPad, not only did you have to go into and back out of settings to get it to go to full screen, it didn't stay that way! After several seconds it would revert back to how it was before. That definately needs to be fixed in a future update. They also need to make an app specifically for the iPad instead of having to run the iPhone app on the iPad! I'm old, the larger screen on the iPad is nice!
Got it, thanks, works on the the iPad and the iPhone. I was recording for close to an hour today and still have 67% battery. According to Savannah, you can use a battery pack at the same time, haven't tried it yet. I got my reticle sharp as heck but apparently my parallax was off a smidge or the lens in my Titian sucks, it was a touch foggy,sThere is a slight difference in the apps between iPhone and iPad, the iPad app is generally built to take full advantage of the larger screen. I just went to the App Store and there is an update for Triggercam 2.1, it's version 2.3.1 and was posted 4 hours ago. It says minor bug fixes to optimize performance. I'll have to update my iPad and see if that helps.
Update: They fixed the full screen function in the new update, you no longer have to go into and out of the setting to get it to work. Just tap the full screen icon and BAM! you got full screen! Hopefully it's more stabile now as well.
