Amazon currently has the Artcise NS85C tripod marked down 12%.
Brings it down from 239. to 210.32.
I just ordered one, along with a saddle mount.

I got this combo last year (https://www.ebay.com/itm/364297478237), though it was on sale for an even $300 at the time. I wanted stability and height and since it's not for hunting, weight was not an issue. It's a very nice, solid tripod, and I like the interchangeable bowl or flat plate.

I can see the benefit of a ball head for hunting or pesting, but for target shooting (i.e. minimal adjustment once set up), I'm going to try using a leveling half ball (https://www.amazon.com/Desmond-DHB-75L-Leveling-Adapter-Sandbag/dp/B0CLBJQT97/) with a pan/tilt head (https://www.amazon.com/Sunwayfoto-DT-03-Two-Way-Clamp-Compatible/dp/B0C7N7JXZD/) instead. This type of combo has been suggested here many times.

I have a thread for my experience with the K&F Concept Mini, and it comes with the 25mm ballhead. I recommend getting the 32mm ballhead, as it is much stronger and can actually hold long/heavy rifles without it sagging or drooping because of too much weight. Current pictures are with the new ballhead.

Check out the National Geographic tripod on Amazon. I got one in 2023 for $16! Next day they were $150. Bought a saddle clamp on ebay for 50ish dollars & used it ever since with stellar results. Tried to copy link but wouldn't let me. They're $57.76 now. Never expected it to work well but FAR above my expectations!!!View attachment 546571View attachment 546572
Finally got link. https://a.co/d/9lR0GWw
I've decided to give this a try and placed an order.

Last night decided I need a tripod to shoot standing off deck. Briefly looked but could use advice. This will be to clamp various guns into. Could you guys recommend anything ? Definitely less than $ 350 total hopefully. Otherwise maybe Aliexpress but want it strong enough.
Thanks,
Mike
Give field optics research a look. They make some super good products!

So glad you think so too. Just loaded mine in the car for hunting on a new permission tomorrow. When I got mine on that insane $16, one day sale I really had my doubts but it's been stellar! I modified the knob that tightens the ball joint for more leverage but it's always held tight & stable from day one. Glad you're happy with it. What'd you pay? I'm dying to go Iguana hunting sometime. I just might be in touch brother.

I paid about $57 for it, almost bought a different $150 tripod so you saved me some money!

You are right though, the knob is good but it could be wider. Let me know when you're down for iguanas and I'll work something out with ya!

Reduce reuse recycle. Haunt your local thrift stores, my brother thinks I am a tripod collector. I find them NIB for 5-10 bucks. My best find is a pro fluid head manfrotto video tripod for 10 bucks, that will be my primary, it's heavy duty and smooth as a moose $hit pie. I'll take some pics when I finish it up. It's the right answer for my blitz.

I have used Siriu and then Artcise, they're good quality and inexpensive. I then switched to Leofoto... Even better quality and many great designs for shooters. I'd get a Leofoto. They have something for every budget, are absolutely rock solid, function smoothly and intuitively, are lightweight, durable and beautiful. They often go on sale for huge discounts.

If you decide to go this route, you can also use this code for a 15% discount.

I use the LS223 with extra large, pivoting feet for tabletop stuff, the LM403c when I have to carry it around or the inverted S0-362c for plain old ease of use and repeatable settings. I also prefer the MH60 inverted ball head most of the time. The ones I use are admittedly a little pricey but there is something for every budget. You will not be disappointed! Check them out!

Have a good one!

Shown is the SO-362 and MH-60 inverted ballhead. It's not then best picture but at lease shows the inverted design of both the tripod and ballhead.
