Trouble shooting jsb 18.1g??

Have any of you had any trouble shooting the jsb 18.1g out of fx guns??

i have massive trouble with my fx impact and i seems to have narrowed it Down to the pellets,

it Will shoot the jsb monsters redesigned and nsa 23g slugs, and it shoots the jsb hades pretty good, but it Will absolutely not shoot the jsb 18.1g pellets

have you guys ever had a bad batch of pellets or something like that?

I mentioned my experience in this forum last year. My BSA Buccaneer normally shoots anything JSB into the same hole at 30 yards. Last year I ordered 5 tins of the Jumbo Heavy 18.13s from the local importer expecting them to shoot the same as the last batch that I got from them. The first group that I shot looked like a shotgun pattern. I rang the dealer and he said that I was the only one that had complained and I could send them back if I liked. I said that I would try them in another gun first before returning them. I tried them in my Walther MaximaThor and they shot fine even at over 1000 fps, so I decided to keep them and only shoot them in that gun. I ran a micrometre over them and the head size was 5.48 when they were supposed to be 5.52. I've been using the rebranded Cometa made by JSB jumbos and jumbo heavies, and they seem to be of better quality. Some people say the same about the Air Arms branded ones. Perhaps if you can get your hands on some of them and see if they shoot any better. Here are some ten-shot groups at 30 yards that show how bad that batch was

I have no trouble shooting good groups, the problem is there is lots of flyers, and sommetider my group shifts in any derictions. So i am thinking it is a barrel, but it shoots the jsb hades fine

I have no idea what is causing your POI shifts but undersize heads will definitely give you more flyers. The key to your problem is in your last phrase. if is shooting the Hades well it will shoot the 15.9 Jumbos and 18.13 heavies equally as well providing their dimensions are the same. I am guessing that you, like me, have got a tin from a dodgy batch. You have already tried some Monsters and Hades and they both shoot fine. Try some Jumbo Heavies from a different supplier or get some 15.9 jumbos. It should be easy to isolate if it's a bad batch. It only took me one 10 shot magazine to know I had a bad tin and as the tin was in a box with four others with the same serial numbers, they will be all the same and probably the whole pallet in the shipment, likewise. I won't be buying any more of that supplier until he gets his next order.
