No such thing as Target police when shooting just for fun.

Also understand the Game played ( FT ) where "Troyer" ratings get applied, You DON'T know as a shooter what the distances actually are ?
You estimate them and try and get into an equal size hole WITH A DIFFERENCE.
That being a swinger of say 5/8" even just glanced will move and you will say a hit. Now make that a HOLE and hit anywhere on the edges to @ 3/4 the pellets diameter inward it will be a SPLIT and no score.
** So in reality shooting THREW A HOLE of Equal size to a hanging circle is a LOT more difficult.

guess i will have to put real targets out . I have 8 FT target but only one lane

"the 5/8 @ 40 yards is not legal"

That's because a 5/8" kill zone requires a .451" center-to-center shot to swish a .177 pellet through. In other words, at 40 yards it's an 88+ Troyer... in still conditions. 110+ Troyer in winds.
In AAFTA rules for competition .. correct.
For grins and giggles it is doable and can be a lot of fun trying to do it with any consistency once you figure the dope and QUIT SHAKING !!!
