My EVOL is my go to right now truck gun for obvious reasons. However one I'm going to add very shortly is the gun above it. That's a Prod in a new bullpup kit from rapid70. I have a 1720T for it waiting and the kit is on its way to me already. At 19.7" OAL and around 4lbs gonna be a great truck gun with a TRS-25 red dot.

What's the 411 on that Prod Rapid 70 kit? It looks like a new design unlike the original Lelya type stock. Liiks like you still have to chop the OEM grip frame?

Can you share cost and wait time and contact info for others who are interested? Thanks!

Yes! That is an interesting truck gun, would really like to hear more on that too, please.

[email protected] is the contact. Price is 287 euros delivered from Spain. Mine was shipped within a day or 2 of payment and one other person ordered one earlier and took about 3 weeks shipping. Mine shipped 9 days ago so we'll see.

Unsure on the install. He said when I get it to let him know and he'll send an installation tutorial.

Bada$$ setup

I ordered my Rapid70 bullpup kit on 1/24 and I received it on the 11th. So I guess it was more like 2 1/2 weeks. He did send me tracking information but it didn’t work so I was in the dark the whole time when it might be coming.

You do not use the Prod trigger or grip at all. The kit has its own trigger mechanism and sear. You do have to remove the gauge to allow for the trigger linkage. You plug the gauge port with a supplied plug. The trigger on this kit looks to me like a better design than the one used on the wooden stock bullpup kit. I don’t know for sure about that because I never owned the wooden one. just making my assumptions based on pictures I’ve seen online. The new kit incorporates a safety so that’s nice.
I haven’t gotten a Prod just yet for this project. So I can’t say just yet how well the trigger works on this kit.
My plan is to convert the Prod to be .177. I ordered some parts from an eBay vendor to convert the Prod magazines to 10 shot .177 magazines. They shipped from Australia though so they’re taking some time to get. Once I have these parts I’ll order a LW barrel from Mountain Air. Roy said he would also machine my Prod bolt for an extra $10.
I don’t like not having a gauge on my Prod. I like having a gauge to monitor for leaks if nothing else. I might install a HUMA regulator. The HUMA plenum can be used to bypass the hole in the tube for the gauge. No need for the plug then. I may consider drilling the tube further forward and reinstalling the gauge. It’ll have to be side mounted. Haven’t decided on that just yet. We’ll see. Looks like it’ll be a fun project one the less but it might take a couple of months due to other priorities on my plate.

Benjamin blue streak .20 have had it since it was new. Never fails. Best truck gun or trail gun ever made. Has been rebuilt once not that it needed it.

I have one of those as well, with American walnut stock and the optional Williams peep sight. The Benjamin and Sheridan air rifles are probably the best bang-for-the-buck airguns ever made. With JSB pellets, mine is seriously accurate as well. I highly recommend the Willaims peep sight that is made for the rifle. The brass barrel cannot lead foul and cannot rust. The old Sheridan .20 cal cylindrical 15 grain pellets have great penetrating power, and when I lived in Texas I shot through the shell of many a snapping turtle with one. It is accurate enough to shoot snapping turtles in the head at close range. On the big turtles I had to go for head shots.

I wonder if there is a Rapid70 BP kit for M-Rods?

Wonder no more.

Thanks for that.

Yep..LOL..right after I posted, I just e-mailed Javier. Got a "rapid" reply. The P-rod stock looks surprisingly like an older Edgun.

Not sure if the M-Rod conversion also loses the stock gauge...but that wouldn't be as much of an issue, as you can just buy a tube extension from Huma with a fill port and gauge.

I’m not sure how the trigger linkage works on the rapid70 Mrod bullpup but with the CraftsmanVit bullpup you do not lose the OEM gauge. The trigger linkage rod is bent to go around the gauge. Mine is regulated so I use the OEM gauge to see the regulated pressure and I use the HUMA fill port to see the unregulated pressure.
